Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah both reached 50 Champions League goals on Wednesday, doing so at markedly different speeds.
L'Équipe reports on a landmark evening for both forwards.
In Bayern Munich’s 4-1 win over Atalanta, Kane scored his ninth and 10th goals of the campaign to reach 50. The 32-year-old needed 66 matches to do it, the same tally as Lionel Messi, and faster than Cristiano Ronaldo’s 91.
For Liverpool, Salah also hit the mark in a 4-0 victory against Galatasaray, having missed a penalty and departing soon after on 74 minutes. It came in his 97th appearance in the competition.
That put him ahead of Thierry Henry, who needed 103 matches, and level with Raul at the same stage. Both remain well behind Erling Haaland, who reached 50 in just 49 games.
