Harry Kane’s contract with Bayern Munich runs until the summer of 2027, but reports have suggested the England captain could leave the club next summer via a release clause, sparking speculation over his future.

According to recent reports from Spain, Barcelona are considering the 32-year-old as a replacement for former Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski.

Kane, however, insists he has no plans to leave anytime soon.

“I haven’t been in contact with anyone, no one has reached out to me,” Kane told Bild.

“I feel very comfortable in the current situation, even though we haven’t discussed my situation at Bayern yet. There’s no rush. I’m really happy in Munich. You can see that in the way I’m playing. If there is contact, we’ll see what happens. It is very unlikely that anything will change after this season. I am quite certain that I will have talks with Bayern in the coming months, and then we’ll see what is best for the future.

Asked if Bayern fans should be worried, Kane replied:

“No, I don’t think so.”

Bayern president Herbert Hainer also sees no cause for concern regarding the 32-year-old’s future.

“He still has a year and a half left on his contract, and he is playing at an incredibly high level. I am firmly convinced that he really, really enjoys being in Munich, that he is happy,” Hainer told Bild.

“We will talk. He will base his decision on what his plans for the future look like. But I am firmly convinced that Bayern have very, very good chances.”
