Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has been included in the squad for tomorrow’s match at the Emirates Stadium, according to Hand of Arsenal.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will decide on his selection for the official match-day team sheet as they take on Chelsea.

Arsenal head into the game looking for three crucial points as they bid to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the table.

The Gunners are coming off the back of a crucial win over their North London arch-rivals and will be brimming with confidence.

Still, Arteta needs all hands on deck. The former Chelsea forward stuck the dagger in when these sides met in the EFL Cup semi-final.

Havertz will be eager to make a similar contribution later today.

Arteta was asked about the fitness of Havertz, Ben White, and Max Dowman in the pre-match press conference, and he kept his cards close to his chest.

The Spanish tactician said (via Arsenal.com), “We are hopeful. Max will play some minutes tonight with the under-21s, Kai will train tomorrow and Ben, let’s see.”

Hand of Arsenal has confirmed Havertz’s availability. He had also alluded to White being in the squad, but has since deleted the post on X (formerly Twitter).

There is no margin for error now. With Manchester City lurking and ready to pounce, the Gunners have to win to keep their title charge firmly on track.

Slip-ups at this stage invite pressure. Victories send a message. The history books favour the Gunners too.

They have not lost to Chelsea since August 2021, a run spanning 10 matches in all competitions (W7, D3).

In the Premier League alone, the sides have met eight times in that period, with Arsenal unbeaten (W5, D3).

The psychological edge is clear, the form is strong, and the stakes are obvious.

If Arteta’s men perform to their level, they should have more than enough to secure another vital three points.
