A striking mural of Jude Bellingham has appeared on a disused building on the A454 at Lower Horsley Fields, Wolverhampton, after being painted yesterday afternoon.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Wolverhampton artist Lucy Danielle, 35, created the piece using spray paint and emulsion, depicting the Stourbridge midfielder celebrating in his England shirt as a tribute to one of England’s greatest players.
She said she secured permission from the building’s owners to help brighten the area, and passers-by stopped to watch as it took shape.
Danielle estimated the mural took around seven or eight hours and reported overwhelmingly positive feedback, with drivers beeping their horns and cheering.
She noted the heat made judging the paint difficult, though a passer-by handed her a bottle of water. She has been spray painting for around 21 years.
Looking ahead, she suggested her next project could depend on how well England do at the World Cup.
