Heidenheim 0-4 Bayern Munich: Josip Stanisic puts in 8/10 display as unbeaten run continues

Bayern Munich finished the calendar year on a high after winning 4-0 against Heidenheim at the Voith-Arena on Sunday evening.
With this victory, the Bavarian giants remained unbeaten in the Bundesliga, and the record champions have taken a healthy lead at the top ahead of the winter break.
Josip Stanisic, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz and Harry Kane scored for Bayern, while David Daiber and Cassiano Kiala made their professional debuts.

Vincent Kompany was forced to make several changes to the starting XI due to injuries, illness and suspensions in the Bayern squad.
Jamal Musiala, Manuel Neuer, Sacha Boey, Konrad Laimer, Joshua Kimmich, Nicolas Jackson, Kim Min-jae, and Aleksandar Pavlovic all missed the game.
Hiroki Ito attempted a cracking left-footed shot from the left side of the box, but it was blocked.
Jonathan Tah threatened with a header from the centre of the box, but Diant Ramaj saved the effort.
The defender was involved again a few minutes later, when his effort from a header from the left side of the six-yard box was saved by the keeper, but Josip Stanisic was there to give Bayern the lead with an opportunistic header.
Michael Olise and Ito both had efforts blocked from dangerous areas, and a few minutes later, via a lucky deflection, the French winger scored to give Bayern a 2-0 lead.
In the 37th minute, Harry Kane made a spectacular right-footed shot from the centre of the box, but it was saved in the top centre of the goal by Ramaj.
Marvin Pieringer came close to scoring for the home side, but his footed shot from the centre of the box missed the target.
In the second half, Luis Diaz had a cracking effort on goal with a right-footed shot from outside the box, which was blocked, and it fell in the path of Harry Kane, who turned away from his marker brilliantly, and his low effort kissed the left post.
The best chance of the match for Heidenheim fell to Stefan Schimmer, whose header from close range hit the post, with Urbig failing to clear the danger.
Ramaj made a costly error by gifting the ball to Kane inside the box, but the England striker could not get past him, and in the end, a golden opportunity was wasted.
Arijon Ibrahimovic was presented with a superb chance to test the keeper from a decent range, but he couldn’t keep it on target. Moments later, Iko tried his luck with his left foot from a distance but couldn’t keep it on target either.
Stefan Schimmer had a glorious opportunity to pull one back, but Jonas Urbig saved his left-footed shot from the centre of the box.
Leon Goreztka then had an effort on goal from outside the box, but narrowly missed the target.
Bayern sealed all three points in the 86th minute when Luis Diaz scored with a header from two yards out, with Josip Stanisic providing the assist.
Harry Kane scores his 19th goal of the season in the Bundesliga after guiding past two defenders to ensure Bayern end 2025 remaining unbeaten in the league so far.
