As per VI’s Sander Janssen, Heracles Almelo have signed Yvandro Borges Sanches. The 21-year-old winger joins Almelo from Borussia Mönchengladbach and signs a three-year contract.
Borges Sanches returns to the Eredivisie after spending six months on loan at NEC Nijmegen in 2024. Heracles recently signed Ajdin Hrustic, who can play both in midfield and on the right wing. Manager Bas Sibum was keen to add another creative player to the wings, and Borges Sanches fit the profile.
Borges Sanches spent five years at Gladbach, but now this comes to an end without making his breakthrough in North Rhine-Westphalia. During his loan to NEC, the young winger showed flashes of class, before a cruciate ligament tear saw last season dedicated to recovery.
Borges Sanches is the seventh new signing of the summer at Heracles. Alongside Hrustic, Jeff Reine-Adélaïde, Tristan van Gilst, Mike te Wierik, Leco Zeevalkink, and Djevencio van der Kust have already arrived. Mimeirhel Benita signed permanently from Feyenoord after a loan spell.
