One of the key players in the match was Mario Hermoso, who spoke at the post-match press conference: “As the coach said, it was important to win. Starting next week, we’ll have many important matches that will set the tone for what we can achieve: there will be six finals. I had a moment where having an injury takes longer than usual.”

“I wanted to help the team; that was the important thing for me. When you have an injury and play through the pain, you suffer another: that’s what happened.”

On conceding too many goals: “I think we were very good in the first half of the season, but recently we’ve had a lot of absences. These missed rotations were crucial; we hope for some quick returns. We need them to reach our objective.”

On their Champions League opponents: “Everyone is there for a reason. Of course, we know Juventus’ history, while Como is having an excellent season and playing excellent football. They’re important teams, and sometimes the difference in pressure can favor Como.”
