Frenchman Karim Benzema has embarked on a new chapter in his career by officially joining Al-Hilal on an eighteen-month contract during the ongoing winter transfer window, after ending his stint with Al-Ittihad following disagreements over his contract renewal.

The transfer of the former Real Madrid striker to the Saudi club has generated huge interest, given his technical prowess and vast experience at the highest level. His arrival prompted Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly to pay tribute to the new signing and emphasize his significance.

The Al-Hilal defender said: "We already knew he was capable of bringing us a lot. Benzema is an exceptional player and a football legend. We will all do our best to help him be in top condition and to contribute with us in our quest for trophies."The Senegal international, nicknamed one of the "Lions of Teranga", also revealed that he had recently spoken with Benzema, highlighting the player’s excitement about this new adventure. According to Koulibaly, Benzema’s presence will provide a significant morale boost to the team in the coming period.

Koulibaly added: "I answered the question about whether he could help us or not: he’s a legend and a truly great player. He’s extremely motivated. I spoke with him these past two days and, Alhamdulillah, he will join us. We’ll do everything to make sure he feels at home with Al-Hilal and helps us win trophies."

Benzema is expected to make his debut for Al-Hilal against Al-Okhdood on February 5th, in matchday 21 of the Saudi Pro League.
