Inter return to San Siro with history firmly on their side as they prepare to face Napoli in a pivotal Serie A showdown at the top end of the table.
After the midweek victory against Parma, the Nerazzurri have little time to pause, with Sunday night’s clash representing a potential turning point in the title race.
Cristian Chivu’s side start the day in first place, while Napoli arrive in fourth, four points behind, knowing that the outcome could either stretch Inter’s lead or reopen the race entirely.

The historical numbers favour the hosts, as noted by FCInter1908.
Inter-Napoli will be the 160th meeting between the two clubs in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri holding a clear advantage.
Inter have won 70 of those encounters, compared to 48 victories for Napoli, with 41 draws completing the picture. Only Juventus have beaten Napoli more times in league history.
San Siro has also proven a difficult venue for the Partenopei.
Inter are unbeaten in their last eight home league matches against Napoli, recording five wins and three draws during that run.
Statistics, of course, do not decide matches on their own.
But on a night of fine margins, Inter can lean on both form and history as they look to assert control at the summit of Serie A.
