Rasmus Hojlund is ‘very happy to be with this incredible team’ after scoring on his Napoli debut against Fiorentina, while Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa is looking forward to the Manchester City showdown.

The reigning Champions of Italy have started this season the way they ended the last, marching at the top of the table with three consecutive victories.

Kevin De Bruyne converted an early penalty past David De Gea, then Hojlund scored 14 minutes into his debut with a precise angled drive off the inside of the far post.

Sam Beukema also got his first goal in the Napoli jersey by tapping in after a corner, while Luca Ranieri gave them a brief scare late on at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

“I am very happy with the goal,” Hojlund told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s a very important win today, we won the first three now and want to continue like this. We have a very important game in the Champions League coming up, I am very happy to be with this incredible team.”

Napoli will be back in the Champions League after missing out last season, and their first match on Thursday is a trip to Manchester City at the Etihad.

“I think we just need to focus on the next match and keep sharp, everybody is going to play a lot of minutes, because we’re in a lot of tournaments with a lot of games. We want to keep winning.”

Anguissa was named Man of the Match by the Lega Serie A, as he earned the penalty and provided an assist for Beukema.

“We know that after the international break the games are always more difficult,” Anguissa told Sky Sport Italia.

“We won, the three points are the important thing, we did everything to win the game. I am very happy for my teammates who scored their first goals and we hope they’ll get more. We know Hojlund’s quality and what he can give to the team, he just has to keep doing it.”

Napoli had an advantage last season by only having Serie A to focus on, but now they have the Champions League, Coppa Italia, and also the Supercoppa Italiana to think about.

“We’re very happy, now we have to work hard, try to win one game at a time. It’s going to be an interesting match, we’re very pleased to be back in the Champions League this season,” concluded Anguissa.
