Football League World compares the prices of Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday's replica home shirts
Sheffield is one of England's footballing hotbeds, and is home to bitter Steel City Derby rivals Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.
The current Championship campaign marks the first time the Blades and the Owls have been in the same division together since the 2018/19 second tier season.
Prior to last month's meeting at Bramall Lane between the cross-city rivals, the two South Yorkshire outfits had played out three consecutive 0-0 draws, as one of English football's most fierce derbies did not live up to its hype.
However, back in November, Tyrese Campbell's goal on 50 minutes ensured that the Blades would claim their city's bragging rights, with a 1-0 win over the Owls.
Wednesday will therefore hope that come March, they can get the better of Chris Wilder's men on home soil, but the red and white half of the city will be desperate to do the double over their blue and white counterparts.
Amid the rivalry between the two Sheffield clubs, and with Christmas just around the corner, Football League World takes a look at how much Blades supporters will have to pay for a home shirt compared to that of Wednesday.
As per the Blades' official club website, the Bramall Lane faithful can get their hands on an adult replica home shirt for £55, whereas the Owls' site indicates that Wednesday adult shirts are pricier, at the cost of £69.
But perhaps most frustratingly for the Hillsborough faithful, their club's junior home shirts are on sale for £53, which is only £2 cheaper than the cost of their rivals' adult home shirt.
Meanwhile, the Blades' junior home shirts are available for £45, the same price as their mini kits, whereas the Owls' baby and infant home kits cost £60, which may not please Wednesday supporters who wish to purchase a Christmas stocking filler for their young children.
As well as their respective home shirt prices, supporters of the Sheffield clubs will also be keen to see how much their club's match tickets cost during the Christmas holiday period.
Perhaps, unfortunately for Owls fans, their side's only home game during the Christmas holidays is a New Year's Day clash with Derby County, with away trips to Middlesbrough and Preston North End respectively arriving on Boxing Day and 29th December.
As per Wednesday's club website, the cheapest adult tickets available for their New Year's Day meeting with the Rams will cost supporters £37.
Contrary to their rivals, the Blades are at home on both Boxing Day and 29th December, but face an away trip to Sunderland on 1st January.
As detailed by the Blades' official site, tickets for both of the club's home games during the festive period are on sale for the slightly cheaper cost of £36.
Both of the encounters Wilder's men face during the holiday season are intriguing match-ups too, as they face fellow automatic promotion challengers Burnley on Boxing Day, before welcoming play-off contenders West Bromwich Albion just three days later.
