Inter Milan are on the verge of securing their 21st Scudetto, after Napoli’s home defeat to Lazio extended the Nerazzurri’s lead at the top of Serie A.

Next Friday, Napoli host Cremonese at the Maradona and if Antonio Conte’s side do not pick up the three points, Inter can lift the trophy with a victory at Torino on Sunday.

Inter wrapping up formalities in Scudetto race

Despite all the mathematics, the title has never really looked outside of Inter’s reach.

Cristian Chivu’s side have led the division for most of the season and look as though they will be deserved winners.

Napoli and Milan have both threatened at times but neither has had the same consistency as the league leaders.

Antonio Conte’s Partenopei were largely expected to beat Lazio on Saturday evening but goals from Matteo Cancellieri and Toma Basic stunned the hosts.
