Inter Milan are beginning to shape their transfer strategy for the coming months, with potential outgoing business likely to play a decisive role in any January or summer reinforcements as Davide Frattesi heads for a potential exit.

According to Tuttosport, Inter have already made initial contact over Marco Palestra, who is considered a top target to strengthen the right flank.

While the operation is primarily viewed as one for the summer, the injury suffered by Denzel Dumfries has prompted internal discussions about whether elements of that plan could be accelerated.

Publicly, however, the club continue to maintain that no January signings are planned.

Further talks could take place on the margins of Inter’s upcoming trip to face Atalanta.

Senior figures from both clubs are expected to be present in Bergamo.

Financially, Inter are operating within clear limits.

Their available budget is estimated to be between €20m and €24m, meaning that any major investment would almost certainly require a high-profile sale.

In that context, Davide Frattesi has emerged as the most likely candidate.

The former Sassuolo midfielder is eager for more regular playing time.

Particularly with the national team in mind, and interest is already building.

Juventus are currently at the front of the queue.

Meanwhile, Napoli are also monitoring the situation and Roma are a possible additional suitor.

Inter value Frattesi at around €35m and are unwilling to entertain complex formulas, preferring structures that guarantee the full fee. That revenue would then be reinvested directly into the pursuit of Palestra.

Should Frattesi depart, Inter already have a replacement idea in mind.

The club are considering bringing Aleksandar Stankovic back to San Siro.

The young midfielder is currently gaining experience at Club Brugge but the Nerazzurri have a buyback option.
