The Rams' captain has taken to social media to apologise after an extremely disappointing display.
Lewis Travis has taken to social media to apologise to supporters following a dismal display in Derby County's 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams found themselves 1-0 down within the first eight minutes at Pride Park, but they finally found a foothold in the game and took it to the Tractor Boys' defence throughout the first half, but were unable to find the equaliser before the whistle blew for the break.
Fans were already directing their anger at referee Josh Smith, but in the 68th minute, he redeemed himself slightly for those in black-and-white after he awarded Bobby Clark a penalty. Rhian Brewster smashed home for his first Pride Park goal, and it looked as though Ipswich's away troubles were going to continue.
However, just 13 minutes from time, Leif Davis found himself free at the back post to head past Josh Vickers and hand Kieran McKenna's side all three points. For Derby, things would get worse in added time.
It was Travis who handed Ipswich the lead early on in the first-half, as he headed into the back of his own net from a corner, leaving Vickers with no chance. Just minutes later, the Rams' captain would find himself in the book, for what proved to be his first and only foul.

Throughout the rest of the game, the 28-year-old had a steady match and while he was not the most exciting player on the pitch, he partnered David Ozoh well and was efficient with his passing.
However, as Derby looked for another equaliser late on, Ipswich were trying their best to waste time and keep the ball towards the corner. As the Rams were awarded a throw-in, Darnell Furlong held onto the ball and Travis looked to take it back off him.
But, the referee was not a fan of how he tried to do it, and as the Tractor Boys' Furlong tried his best to waste some valuable seconds, the Rams' captain was sent off for a second yellow card. He said on his Instagram story after the game: "Gutted about today. Can only apologise to the lads and the fans. Thank you for the support once again."
It's been a difficult season for Derby in terms of injuries, but they've now got the depth in midfield that Eustace has needed throughout his time at Pride Park and this is the perfect chance for Oscar Fraulo to impress his manager.
The Danish midfielder, who was signed in the January transfer window for £200k from German club Borussia Mönchengladbach, has played a bit-part role so far during his time in the East Midlands, but he would be the perfect partner for Ozoh.

When he made his way onto the pitch on Saturday, he changed the dynamic of the midfield and Ipswich were not able to cope. The 22-year-old played a vital role in winning the penalty, and he will be brilliant once given more time to shine.
For Travis, this is a wake-up call, and he must control his frustration more on the pitch as Derby look for their first home win since January 1 when they face Swansea City next Saturday.
