Tottenham make the trip to Atletico Madrid today still looking for their first win under new boss Igor Tudor.

The interim head coach has lost all three games of his reign so far since taking over from predecessor Thomas Frank.

The Croat and his men sank to a new low on Thursday when Spurs were beaten 3-1 by Crystal Palace at home, leaving the north London side just one point above the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest and West Ham are breathing down their necks in the battle to stay in the Premier League.

Spurs’ attention, now, however, turns to Europe, where they travel to the Wanda Metropolitano to take on Atletico, who sit third in the Spanish top flight.

They are some way off Barcelona and Real Madrid in the title race - 11 points to be exact - but they did thrash Barca in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg, running out 4-0 victors.

That was almost turned on its head in the second leg as Barcelona won 3-0, but Atleti made it through to the final.

Their path to the Champions League last 16 came via the play-offs, where they eked past Belgian side Club Brugge to secure their contest with Tottenham.
