Blues bid to get back to winning ways and end 2025 on a high

Chelsea face Bournemouth looking to climb back into the top four.

The Blues slipped outside the Champions League places when they were leapfrogged by Liverpool after their 2-1 home defeat by Aston Villa on Saturday.

But Enzo Maresca’s side can move back above Liverpool if they get back to winning ways against Bournemouth, with the Reds not in action until New Year’s Day.

Maresca is coming under some scrutiny at Chelsea, who are now 13 points behind leaders Arsenal and look miles away from being title challengers.

The Blues have won just one of their last six Premier League games but they have a good chance to end 2025 on a high against a Bournemouth side in freefall.

After a good start to the season, Bournemouth are without a win in nine games stretching back to October and they look set to lose star man Antoine Semenyo when the transfer window opens in January.
