Gunners shift focus to title race after midweek European heroics
Arsenal visit West Ham this evening in a match which will have implications for both the title race and the relegation battle.
The Gunners sit top of the table as they head into this, their third-to-last match of the season, and are two points clear of second-placed Manchester City after they beat Brentford on Saturday.
Various pundits have opined that they could effectively seal the title should they win at the London Stadium, though Mikel Arteta has rubbished that notion.
A win for the Gunners here, though, would be rather damning for West Ham. They have dropped into the relegation zone amid Tottenham’s recent resurgence, and will likely stay there should they fail to find three points here.
Arsenal come into the match high on confidence after edging past Atletico Madrid to secure their place in the Champions League final in midweek, taking their unbeaten run to four matches.
West Ham cannot say the same. They were unlucky in their defeat to Brentford last time out, repeatedly hitting the woodwork as they fell to a damaging 3-0 loss.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage starting at 4pm BST ahead of a 4.30pm kick-off.
Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app.
