HSV and Schalke 04 ‘to battle’ for out-of-contract Toulouse striker | OneFootball

Frank Magri has left Toulouse after his contract expired and is weighing his next move, with Schalke 04 and Hamburger SV among the clubs pursuing the free agent valued at around €3 million.

FußballTransfers.com reports that newly promoted Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are interested in the 26-year-old, who can also operate on the right, and have already made several offers, although an agreement is not close.

The Royal Blues are not alone in their chase. HSV are in the mix, and MLS outfit New York City FC currently has a good chance of signing the 20-time Cameroonian international.

Relegated Premier League side Burnley are also monitoring the 1.78-metre right-footed player.

Last season, Magri scored five goals and registered one assist in 17 appearances, helping Toulouse finish ninth in Ligue 1.
