Hull City and Millwall played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their EFL Championship play-off semi-final at the KCOM Stadium. With the score remaining level, the tie is still finely poised heading into the second match.
Millwall enjoyed the greater share of possession with 61 per cent and looked the more active side in attack, finishing with 15 shots and five corners. However, they were unable to turn that pressure into a goal, with only two efforts on target and an expected goals total of 0.68.
Hull, by contrast, were more limited in possession with 39 per cent and managed just six shots, only one of which tested the visiting goalkeeper. Even so, they kept themselves in contention through a disciplined display, recording an expected goals figure of 0.61.
With no goals and no decisive moments to separate the sides, the semi-final remains open after a balanced but cagey first leg. Both teams will now turn their attention to the return fixture with everything still to play for.
