Hull City are keen to re-sign former loan striker Liam Delap from Chelsea as the club prepare to return to the Premier League.
The Tigers secured promotion to the Premier League after beating Middlesbrough 1-0 in last month’s Championship play-off final.
Recruitment plans are underway after an unexpected promotion campaign and Delap is a player of interest.
Delap scored just one Premier League goal, and only two in 41 appearances in all competitions, following his £30m transfer to Chelsea from Ipswich last summer.
He ended the campaign on a 26-game goal drought and is assessing his future with Chelsea open to an exit.
Delap previously spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Hull form Manchester City, where he scored eight goals in 32 appearances.
According to Transfer Feed, Hull are in the running for Delap, but it remains to be seen whether the promoted side can match Chelsea’s asking price.
The Blues want to recoup their £30m investment last summer, with Ipswich Town, Newcastle United and Everton also linked with the forward.
