Rayan Cherki has declared that he doesn't feel the pressure of the Premier League title race after another majestic display, helping us to a 3-0 win over Chelsea.

The midfield maestro was at his creative best yet again for City, crossing for Nico O’Reilly to head us ahead after 51 minutes.

Shortly before the hour mark, the Frenchman was at the heart of our second goal, showing great ball control and awareness to fizz a pass into Marc Guéhi, who finished superbly.

Jeremy Doku’s energy and determination saw him win the ball back high up the pitch before drilling in our third as we moved six points behind league-leaders Arsenal, who face Pep Guardiola’s men at the Etihad Stadium in a crucial encounter next Sunday.

“No I don’t feel pressure,” said Cherki in an interview after the game.

“I just want to play with my teammates, give pleasure, give good passes for him [Guéhi], Erling [Haaland] and all the players because we need goals.

“We need to not accept any goals too and today he [Guehi] did a big job for us. We are very happy.”

Despite receiving plenty of plaudits for his pass for the second goal, Cherki believes the majority of the credit needs to go to Guéhi for his excellent ball control and perfect execution of the finish.

“When I gave the pass for him, I didn’t know if he will score. But I’m very happy for him and the team.

“It was not about my pass, it’s him when he controlled the ball, he touched the ball very nice. I’m very happy for him.

“Now we can go and play against Arsenal, it’s a big game for us.”
