"I Don't Want the World's Best Player": Carlo Ancelotti's Shocking Demand to His Brazil Squad
Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti's called for greater unity within his squad insisting that collective focus will be key to winning the 2026 World cup.
Speaking at press conference ahead of Brazil’s friendly against South Korea in Seoul on Friday, Ancelotti highlighted the need to refine tactical details but emphasized attitude above all.
"I think we need to work more on the tactical side to improve our playing strategy, But what matters most isn’t tactics .. it’s the players' behavior on the pitch. You don’t need a lot of time to prepare that" he said
Ancelotti who took charge of Brazil earlier this year's determined to instill winning mentality in his dressing room.
"If we want to win the World cup, every player must think about 1 goal (victory). I don’t want players focused on being the best in the world .. I want players focused on helping Brazil win the World cup" he declared.
"I really liked how the team defended in Jun & Sep. The group was organized, compact & disciplined" he added.
He also praised the atmosphere within the squad:
"You can play with 4, 3 or 5 attacker .. what truly matters's the quality & attitude on the field. The mood in the camp's very positive thanks to the players' professionalism" Ancelotti Ended.
