Konrad Laimer has impressed at FC Bayern with consistently strong performances. His contract expires in the summer of 2027, but the Austrian can well imagine an extension at the German record champions

Konrad Laimer can well imagine a long-term future at FC Bayern. In an interview with the Austrian news agency APA, the 28-year-old made it clear that he feels very comfortable in Munich and is open to a possible contract extension

„I’m certainly concerned with what the future holds. I feel very comfortable here. I’m always open to everything and relaxed. And as I said: I like it here in Munich,“ explained Laimer. The Austrian international is currently tied to the German record champions until 2027. Concrete talks about an extension are not publicly known, but the statements clearly show that Laimer is not averse to staying beyond the end of his contract. Bayern bosses also recently emphasised that they would like to continue working together

In sporting terms, the versatile defensive player has taken another step forward this season. Under coach Vincent Kompany, Laimer is a permanent fixture and regularly makes appearances – both on the right side of defence and in midfield. The development has not gone unnoticed in his home country either: Laimer was voted Austrian Footballer of the Year for the first time in his career

„It’s nice to receive such recognition. It’s also an incentive to continue like this and get even better,“ said Laimer about the award. For FC Bayern, the Austrian is therefore not only an important factor in sporting terms, but also a player who is clearly committed to the club and wants to play a long-term role.
