‘I spoke with Roberto De Zerbi and the feeling was really good’ – Quinten Timber on signing for Marseille

Olympique de Marseille have officially announced the signing of Feyenoord midfielder Quintin Timber (24), who spoke today at a press conference attended by Get French Football News ahead of OM’s top of the table clash against Lens this weekend (Sunday 21:00 CET). The Dutch midfielder said he is ready to play as soon as this weekend, and spoke about where he fits in Roberto De Zerbi’s system. “The club speaks for itself – they are a really great team,” said Timber on joining the club on a permanent move from Feyenoord, announced this morning. “I spoke with Roberto De Zerbi and the feeling was really good. I felt the warmth of supporters at the airport – and I’m ready for the match tomorrow.”
The Dutchman arrived at Marseille’s airport on Wednesday and experienced Marseille’s game against Liverpool. “I was at the game against Liverpool and it was a great atmosphere, the supporters were amazing,” said Timber on his arrival this week. “The coach has a really clear structure about how he wants to play.
