Chelsea are embroiled in a fierce battle for Champions League football with Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal, and it’s vital they secure a top five finish.
The Blues are currently sixth in the table, three points behind Liverpool in fifth, although they have a game in hand over their rivals.
Despite remaining unbeaten in the league under Rosenior, Chelsea are still plagued by the same inconsistencies shown under Enzo Maresca.
Liam Rosenior was fuming with the dropped points against Leeds and Burnley, and there’s still a massive element of Chelsea blowing hot and cold in games.

Chelsea have consistently signed young players under the new ownership, and Cech feels a lack of experience in the team is a major issue.
“They had a couple of games where they are not consistent, but I think it’s the lack of experience in the team,” he told Discovery+.
“You know, it’s a young team and an ever-changing team and a lot of players and changes.
“So, you know, it’s sometimes hard to be consistent, but with the manager now, I think they have a good platform and they are doing steadily well.”
Cech’s sentiments have been echoed far and wide, but it seems unlikely the ownership are going to deviate from their recruitment strategy.

Chelsea already have Emmanuel Emegha and Geovany Quenda arriving in the the summer, whilst they failed in their pursuit of 20-year-old centre back Jeremy Jacquet in January.
It’s obvious the Blues need more proven quality, but worryingly the only people who can’t seem to see it are those making the decisions.
