Axel Disasi has joked darkly about being in trouble if he told all about his “bomb squad” time at Chelsea earlier this season.

West Ham had another positive result last night, winning on penalties in the FA Cup fifth round after a 2-2 drarw with Brentford.

On loan Chelsea defender Axel Disasi was given the man of the match award after another impressive showing, and he said some interesting words to Sky Sports at full time about his time in the Chelsea bomb squad.

Disasi jokes about “being in trouble” over tough treatment from Chelsea

“If I say everything, maybe I will get into trouble, but it was tough” the defender said.

It was very tough to be watching every single week, every single weekend the games on the TV,” he said, speaking after the game.

“I was just working, waiting for my time and that’s why now I’m just enjoying because I know what it feels like to be in front of the TV and not on the pitch.”

He has transformed the Hammers’ season since arriving in the January window, and has given them a real chance of surviving relegation from the Premier League, something which looked close to be impossible when he arrived. We’re really happy for him, and hope he can leverage this into a permanent move to the London Stadium in the summer, if they stay up.

In other news…

Chelsea co-owner Jose Feliciano has been mocking Arsenal on a Bloomberg panel, and we’re not sure that was smart.

Feliciano also said some worrying things about Chelsea’s own title potential, saying “someday” the Blues would compete again.
