Ibrahima Konaté has signed a four-year contract with Real Madrid, running to 30 June 2030, the club said in a statement on Thursday.
The France defender will complete the move after the World Cup. He left Liverpool at the end of his deal and was a free agent.

Madrid will pay no transfer fee because of his free-agent status.
José Mourinho is returning to the Real Madrid dugout 13 years after his first spell from 2010 to 2013, following a mixed stint with Benfica.
He will succeed Alvaro Arbeloa as head coach.
