Ibrahima Konaté willing to sign new contract with Liverpool | OneFootball

According to a report from David Ornstein, Ibrahima Konaté (26) is willing to sign a new contract with Liverpool. The French international defender’s current deal at Anfield is set to expire at the end of the season and discussions are currently underway regarding a new contract. 

Despite no there still being no agreement between the Premier League champions and the former RB Leipzig defender, the negotiations are described as ‘cordial’ with both parties showing a willingness to find an agreement. This is a positive update regarding the 26-year-old’s future after several months of uncertainty. 

Konaté to reject Real Madrid interest?

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the Frenchman on a free transfer. After previously cooling their interest in signing the Liverpool defender, the La Liga club have reignited their interest as the look to sign another defender on a free transfer from the Merseyside outfit, MARCA report.
