‘If anyone has doubts…’ – Lamine Yamal in fresh Lionel Messi ‘GOAT’ push | OneFootball

Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has on Friday reiterated his stance that Blaugrana legend Lionel Messi is the greatest player to ever grace the pitch.

This of course comes with the 38-year-old fresh off another performance to remember on the international stage.

After Argentina kicked the defence of their World Cup title into gear in a meeting with Algeria, Messi notched all three of his country’s goals in a 3-0 triumph.

This guided the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner level with Miroslav Klose as the highest scorer in World Cup history.

And as alluded to above, such exploits did not go at all unappreciated on the part of the player widely viewed as Messi’s heir in the city of Barcelona.

Drawn on the name of the veteran attacker during an interview with RTVE, as cited by Fabrizio Romano, late this week, Lamine Yamal gushed:

“Messi’s hat-trick? Every match he plays proves that he is the greatest player in history. If anyone still has doubts, it’s because they’re deliberately looking for them. Leo is the GOAT.”
