Fernandez captained the side in the absence of Reece James as Chelsea slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
It’s now four defeats in a row in all competitions for the Blues, as the pressure continues to ramp up on Liam Rosenior.
The Blues currently sit sixth in the league with just seven games remaining, and missing out on Champions League football could have big implications this summer.
Liam Rosenior has insisted star players won’t look to leave the club, but no Champions League football has the potential to change that.
Fernandez cast doubt over his future after the defeat to PSG, and despite being under contract until 2032 he’s been linked with a move away.
It’s been reported Fernandez has been so far unable to agree a new deal with Chelsea, which could alert clubs, but Romano has shared PSG aren’t one of those.
“I’m not aware of PSG working on a deal for Enzo Fernandez or considering a bid despite the rumours,” he told his YouTube channel.
“I think PSG are very happy with the midfielders they have, and at the moment, are not working on anything for Enzo Fernandez.”
Whilst there appear to be doubts over Fernandez’s future, it’s believed Chelsea are looking to bring in a new midfielder this summer.
