Milan directors will reportedly meet Mike Maignan’s entourage after their next game against Cagliari on January 2, as the Rossoneri still hope to extend with the French goalkeeper despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
Milan directors are preparing for an imminent meeting with Maignan’s camp in the early stages of 2026.

According to Calciomercato.com, the meeting will take place a few days after Milan’s next game against Cagliari on January 2, 2026, the first match of the new year in Serie A.
Maignan’s contract at San Siro expires in June 2026 and negotiations have been on hold for months.
The Rossoneri still hope to persuade the 30-year-old to extend his stay at San Siro despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to the report, Maignan hasn’t yet reached an agreement with any other club, so the Rossoneri will push to put pen to paper on a new deal in the coming days.
As already reported by Football Italia earlier this month, Massimiliano Allegri is also having a role in negotiations as the Italian tactician believes Maignan will be a key player for the future of the Rossoneri.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan will offer Maignan a €5.5m-a-year contract, almost twice as much as he currently gets, but the proposal will also include a bonus up to €1m tied to Champions League qualification and Serie A title win.
