Sebastiano Esposito will start for Empoli in tomorrow’s Serie A match against his parent club Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They also report that the formation is a doubt for the Tuscan side.
Empoli take on Inter at the San Siro tomorrow evening.
The Tuscans have had somewhat mixed form this season. However, they have established a foothold for themselves in the Serie A midtable.
A key player for Empoli has been Sebastiano Esposito.
Esposito joined the Tuscan club on loan last summer. They are the first team in Serie A he’s been at on loan after a number of spells in Serie B and abroad.
And the move has worked out well for both Esposito and Empoli. If the Tuscans stay up they will almost certainly sign him permanently.
According to the Corriere, there is no doubt that Esposito will start tomorrow.
However, there is a doubt as to what position the 22-year-old will play.
Empoli coach Roberto D’Aversa could play a 3-5-2 shape. In that case, Esposito will simply partner Lorenzo Colombo in attack.
But on the other hand, the Corriere report, Empoli could also line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
In that case, Esposito would be one of two attacking midfielders behind Colombo, along with Yunus Maleh.
