Iñigo Pérez’s Villarreal set pre-season, all friendlies to be shown on TV | OneFootball

Iñigo Pérez’s Villarreal have begun pre-season at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, with medicals done and training under way. Every friendly will be broadcast live on television.

El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that broadcast channels will be confirmed by the club’s media, and the programme features six fixtures against domestic and international opposition.

The opener is Friday 17 July against Benfica at the Estadio Algarve in Faro, 20.45. Villarreal then visit PSV Eindhoven on Saturday 25 July at 18.00 in the Philips Stadion.

Next comes the Como Cup. On Wednesday 29 July they face AlUla SC and Como 1907 in two 45-minute games, then a further match on 31 July or 1 August, opponent to be confirmed.

The run-in includes a derby with Levante UD on Wednesday 5 August 2026 at 10.00 in the Mini Estadi at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza in Miralcamp.

It finishes with a trip to Galatasaray on Saturday 8 August at 20.00, at RAMS Park in Istanbul.

Pre-season offers Pérez a first look at his methods in action, plus the chance to assess returning loanees and youngsters, as hopes of a Champions League return frame the summer.
