Italy’s sports pages lead on Inter’s pursuit of Palestra, a looming Juventus split with Vlahovic, and Pio Esposito’s header for the Azzurrini.
Gazzetta suggests Inter are moving in on Palestra, framing his arrival as increasingly likely.
Corriere dello Sport reports an asking price of 53m and an offer of 42m plus add-ons, adding that Marco does not want to move abroad, which has quickened talks. It says Marotta and Ausilio are working to replace Dumfries, who has already had medicals with Real Madrid, and that there has been a meeting with Percassi. The paper also states the Italy full-back has chosen Chivu and aims to partner with Dimarco.
Tuttosport claims the Vlahovic-Juventus negotiations have collapsed, citing demands of eight million per season against a six million limit set by the club. It adds that remarks contrasting himself with David and rejecting parity with Jonathan upset many, including Spalletti, and that a meeting has been held for Sorloth.
Corriere dello Sport says Italy’s youngsters started slowly then improved after the break, with Esposito deciding it with a header from a corner and Pisilli hitting the post. Tuttosport notes the display lacked sparkle but carried enthusiasm and commitment, and that Greece await on Sunday.
