Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Aurel Bisseck have generated interest, but Inter didn’t actively shop them, plot to keep them and have started negotiating their extensions, despite going all steam ahead in their pursuit of Oumar Solet, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
The Italian star was openly linked to Barcelona for a few months before the start of the summer. However, the two teams were never really close to agreeing on his price tag. His agent recently closed the matter (via Tuttomercatoweb).
“He’ll stay for sure. He still has two years on his contract. All the top teams like him. You can’t say what will happen down the line, but he feels at home here. His transfer isn’t a topic of conversation now.”
Bisseck has been rumored to be on the way out after Inter seemingly took Bastoni off the market, but his price tag is substantial. Bayern Munich laid eyes on him, while a few Premier League sides bid for him last summer.
The youngster recently changed his representative, who has been spotted at the club’s HQ. The center-back is already tied to the Scudetto winners until 2029. Still, the management could tack on one or two years and bump up his salary to make sure he’s happy.
Signing Solet basically to replace Francesco Acerbi and/or Stefan De Vrij rather than a starter would be the way to go to really improve at the position. The Udinese man’s attainable price tag makes it very possible. There’s no rush for the latter. They can take their time in mulling over the offers and see if selling him could lead to the addition of a better player.
