Inter Miami claimed their first win of the season with a 4-2 comeback against cross-state rivals Orlando City.

Javier Mascherano’s interval switch to a quasi-back three changed the tone, with Micael at left-back after Noah Allen made way for Mateo Silvetti. Wide outlets Silvetti and Luciano Allende stretched the game.

Silvetti began the comeback in the 49th minute with a tidy finish. Lionel Messi equalised eight minutes later.

Messi struck again in the 85th minute, then Telasco Segovia sealed it in the 90th to complete the turnaround.

German Berterame is yet to score, but his work-rate to chase a loose ball and find Segovia underpinned the clincher.

At 38, Messi continues to dazzle, finishing with two goals to start his 2026 tally. He shone even without Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
