Inter Miami have signed Academy graduate Preston Plambeck on a deal to the end of the 2026 MLS season, with options to extend through June 2027, the 2027-28 season and the 2028-29 season. The club said in a statement that the 20-year-old midfielder is the 13th Academy product to reach the First Team.

After progressing through the Academy, Plambeck made his professional debut during the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season. He started and scored on his first outing in April 2025 away to Atlanta United 2, then made 19 appearances that year, contributing one goal and one assist.

This year he has been a mainstay for Inter Miami II, starting seven matches in the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro campaign and recording two goals and two assists. On the back of that form he earned three short-term call-ups, making his MLS debut as a second-half substitute in the home draw with New England Revolution on 25 April.

Plambeck said he had worked his whole life to reach this moment and wanted to make his family proud. He added that he thought the Academy and the Second Team taught him discipline and the club’s style of play.

He is the fourth Academy product to sign a First Team contract this season.
