Cristian Chivu got Inter Milan back on trails, overseeing a morale-boosting 2-1 home win over Sassuolo on Monday night.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri boss was not entirely satisfied with his side’s performance.
Despite bouncing back from successive losses to Udinese and Juventus, Inter Milan failed to shine against Sassuolo.
Indeed, it was another scrappy win for the 20-time Italian champions.
Federico Dimarco opened the scoring early, yet Inter had to navigate an intense finale to put three points on the board.

For starters, Inter were not ‘clinical’ in front of goal.
While they enjoyed 61% possession and made 20 shots on goal, only six were on target.
Furthermore, they needed Tarik Muharemovic’s own goal to go 2-0 up in the 81st minute.
Therefore, they lacked the ‘killer instinct’ in the final third.
Meanwhile, they could have done better in defense, allowing Sassuolo to create several chances.
Though Josep Martinez bailed Francesco Acerbi out with a superb save, he could do nothing to stop Walid Cheddira.
