Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu oversaw his fifth consecutive Serie A win last night, as the Nerazzurri thrashed Bologna at home.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, it was one of Inter’s best performances under the 45-year-old coach.
Less than 20 days after being beaten by Bologna in the Supercoppa Italiana semi-finals, Chivu’s men got their revenge.
Indeed, Piotr Zielinski, Lautaro Martinez, and Marcus Thuram scored in a dominant 3-1 victory at San Siro on Sunday evening.
As a result, the Nerazzurri halted their underwhelming three-game winless run against Bologna in all competitions.

Inter outclassed Vincenzo Italiano’s side on their way back to the top of the Serie A standings.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu outplayed his Bologna counterpart in almost every aspect.
For context, Inter generated an impressive 2.92 xG, compared to Bologna’s 0.86, managing 19 shots against the visitors’ six.
Additionally, the Nerazzurri restricted the Rossoblu to only two shots on target while attempting ten themselves.
Therefore, it’s fair to say that Chivu’s tactics and his players’ execution were flawless.
