Inter Milan center-back Alessandro Bastoni reigned supreme in Sunday night’s dominant 3-1 home win over Bologna.
According to the Italian media via L’Interista, the 26-year-old lived up to his tag as one of Serie A’s best defenders.
Cristian Chivu led the Nerazzurri to a revenge-poised home victory over the Rossoblu in their first game of 2026.
Furthermore, Piotr Zielinski and Lautaro Martinez maintained their outstanding runs of form.
Indeed, the former scored a stunning opener, while the latter found the net for the fifth league match on the bounce.

Despite failing to keep a clean sheet, Inter kept Bologna at bay for most of the game.
Vincenzo Italiano’s side managed just six shots on goal, including two on target.
Bastoni was part of the reason Bologna rarely troubled Yann Sommer in what was supposed to be a tricky game for Inter.
Indeed, he fared outstandingly against Jonathan Rowe and Jens Odgaard.
