From Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito to Nicola Bertola, Inter Milan and Bologna could coordinate on some young player transfers.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter and Bologna have already made one notable deal in the last couple years.
In 2023, young Nerazzurri midfielder Giovanni Fabbian joined the Rossoblu.
This proved to be a fairly successful piece of business for Bologna.
The Emilian club have made no secret of their aim to build their project around young players. And Fabbian has managed to make a big contribution while improving over his time at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Meanwhile, it’s proven to be a good step for Fabbian. He has managed to start regularly in Serie A and even the Champions League.
For Inter, meanwhile, they have a buyback clause. Therefore, next summer they could sign back Fabbian, potentially with a future in the first team or to sell him on for a profit.
And there is a good rapport between Inter and Bologna. After the Fabbian transfer, the two clubs feel that they can arrange some more mutually beneficial transfer business.
Two potential players who could join the Rossoblu would be strikers Sebastiano and Francesco Pio Esposito.
Sebastiano is on loan at Empoli this season. And he has had a successful time in Tuscany, where he has looked right at home in his first regular experience in Serie A.
Should Empoli stay in the top flight, they’d almost certainly want to sign Esposito permanently.
However, if that does not happen, Bologna could certainly sign the Italian youth team international.
Francesco Pio Esposito, meanwhile, is in Serie B. He is on loan with Spezia for the second season in a row.
But after a blazing start to the campaign with the Ligurians, it seems clear that it’s only a matter of time before Pio Esposito is playing in the top flight.
And Bologna certainly consider the teenage striker to be a target. They could work out a deal with Inter.
Inter midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is another player on Bologna’s radar. The Nigerian is presently on loan at Sampdoria.
Lastly, the Corriere note, Spezia defender Nicola Bertola is a player both Inter and Bologna are big fans of.
And there is a real possibility of the Nerazzurri signing the 21-year-old before loaning him to the Rossoblu.
