Inter Milan star forwards Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram could start on the bench in Saturday’s home clash against Monza.
Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Simone Inzaghi is considering resting his deadly duo against Serie A’s basement boys.
Both players were on the scoresheet last night as Inter eased past Feyenoord 2-0 in Rotterdam.
In doing so, Inzaghi’s charges have set one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Marcus Thuram opened the scoring with a poacher’s finish late in the first half.
Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez broke the club’s scoring record in the Champions League five minutes after the break.
Despite their electrifying performance at De Kuip, both strikers could drop out of the starting line-up on Saturday.
Indeed, Inzaghi wants to rest his standout performers amid a congested fixture schedule.

Given Monza’s terrible league campaign, this looks like a perfect opportunity for Thu-La to catch a breather.
That could signal the return of Marko Arnautovic and Mehdi Taremi to the starting XI.
