The agent of Lautaro Martinez says he’s received “spectacular” offers, but has always turned them down to stay at Inter Milan.
Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano spoke to Spanish outlet AS, via FCInterNews.
Last summer, Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez signed a contract extension with his club.
The Argentine put pen to paper on a new long-term deal that expires at the end of June 2029.
Inter were not at any imminent risk of losing Martinez on a free transfer. However, the point of the contract extension had been to secure Martinez’s place at the centre of the project for years to come.
Martinez became Inter’s top earner by some distance when he signed his deal.
And the Nerazzurri were able to finally ward off rumoured transfer interest in their captain.
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur have all targeted the 27-year-old in the past couple transfer windows.
Barcelona and Manchester City have also chased Martinez during his time at the Nerazzurri.

It’s no secret that Lautaro Martinez had been close to joining Atletico Madrid in 2018.
However, Inter managed to hijack the Spanish giants’ deal for the Argentine striker’s signature. And they’ve never looked back in the seven years since then.
Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano recalls that “it was a very tough negotiation with Atletico.”
“Although I don’t know the details,” he went on. “I know they tried to sign him in every way.”
“He’s always had a special predilection for Spain. If there’s somewhere he’d like to play if he left Inter it would be in Spain.”
“But now he’s the captain of Inter,” Camano noted.
“And he takes that role as a responsibility.”
“He feels like he has to lead by example,” Martinez agent noted. “I’ve received spectacular offers for Lautaro, but he’s always replied: ‘No. Inter.'”
“That’s a very important thing,” Camano said.
