Arnautovic grabbed the limelight in Inter’s Coppa Italia win over Udinese on Thursday.

The Austrian made what has been a rare start for him this season.

And Arnautovic took full advantage of that opportunity. He put in an outstanding performance, which he crowned with his second goal of the season.

There was a sense that Arnautovic had put rumours about his future at Inter to rest with his display against Udinese.

In recent weeks there have been links between Arnautovic and Torino.

And there is the persistent sense that if Inter want to offload any fringe squad members, the former Stoke City and West Ham United striker would be one of the first names on the chopping block.

According to the Gazzetta, though, Inter would still listen to offers for Arnautovic.

The 35-year-old’s contract with the Nerazzurri runs out at the end of next June. But for the right bid he could even depart in January.

Inter owners Oaktree Capital want to continue to reduce the club’s wage bill. Starting as early as next month.

And Arnautovic is a fairly high earner, particularly for a player who hardly regular starts.

Moreover, Joaquin Correa has re-emerged as a potential starter for Inter. Therefore, the feeling is that Arnautovic is hardly indispensable from a squad depth perspective.
