The Italian champions first made a move for the 25-year-old back in January but no deal was ultimately agreed. Inter are seeking to capitalise on a shaky contract scenario for the homegrown midfielder.
Jones’ current deal expires in summer 2027 and there is no sign of a new agreement on the horizon. Liverpool are running out of time to cash in on the No17 but won’t be bullied into a deal against their own interests.
Inter have offered around £22m in the latest round of talks - still far beneath the reported £35m valuation that sporting director Richard Hughes has placed on the England international.
Indeed Liverpool would rather run the risk of losing Jones for free next summer and use him for the 2026/27 season than sell him below market values.
That’s because SPORTSBOOM is reporting that Juventus are entering the race for Jones and are ready to beat their Serie A rivals to the punch.
“A heavyweight battle between Italy's two biggest clubs is set to erupt after Juventus joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones,” the report reads.
Inter are seeking a midfield restock following a season of failure and reportedly see Jones as a key part of the puzzle. This of course will be music to the ears of Liverpool - who finally look set to get what they are asking for in talks over a deal for Jones.
