Inter Milan talisman Marcus Thuram has hit his stride since the club season resumed in April, putting a rough patch firmly behind him.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 28-year-old has gone from strength to strength after the March international break.
Marcus Thuram faltered at the start of the new calendar year.
Indeed, after finding the net in Inter’s first two Serie A games of 2026, the Frenchman went five consecutive league games without scoring.
Furthermore, Thuram’s drought had briefly compromised his first-team status at San Siro.
However, the former Borussia Monchengladbach center-forward has flourished in April.
Thuram broke the deadlock in yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Torino, netting his seventh header of the season.
As a result, he has now scored in four consecutive Serie A matches, tallying an eye-catching five goals in that sequence.
Only Lautaro Martinez has bagged more goals in Italy’s top flight this season than Thuram’s 12.
Therefore, the French goal-getter has drawn level with Como stars Anastasios Douvikas and Nico Paz as the division’s second-best scorer.
Overall, Thuram has scored 17 goals in all competitions this term, only one fewer than his personal record.
With five more games left until the end of the season, it’s hard to rule out the Frenchman to eclipsing his best-ever tally.
