Inter Milan icon Esteban Cambiasso has been the latest football legend to hail the team’s UCL performance against Red Star Belgrade.

Speaking in the Sky Sports studios after Inter’s 4-0 triumph, as reported by FCInter1908, Cambiasso lauded ‘the very important answer from the players.’

After a spirited performance in a 0-0 draw against Manchester City in their Champions League curtain raiser, Inter refused to drop the ball against Red Star.

Giuseppe Meazza witnessed another memorable European night as four different goalscorers guided the Nerazzurri to a confidence-boosting triumph.

Inter needed an emphatic result last night to stay on the upward trajectory after dispatching Udinese 3-2 at the weekend.

Following several frustrating results in Serie A, Simone Inzaghi has seemingly steadied the ship as his charges look fantastic again.

Interestingly, Inter’s return to prominence coincides with Lautaro Martinez’s renaissance.

After six scoring blanks at the start of the season, the Argentine goal-getter has bagged three in his last two appearances.

He was on the scoreboard last evening, but it wasn’t only him who impressed.

Mehdi Taremi stole the spotlight, while Marko Arnautovic and Hakan Calhanoglu completed the win.

Esteban Cambiasso Encouraged By ‘Very Important’ Response From Inter Milan Players Against Red Star

If anyone knows in-depth about a winning mentality, it’s Cambiasso.

During his trophy-laden stint at Inter, he won 15 major trophies, including an unprecedented treble in 2010 under Jose Mourinho.

Therefore, very few men are more competent to talk about success than the 44-year-old.

“Inzaghi received very important answers from the players,” Cambiasso stated.

“He fielded those who had played less and he rested those who had played more.

“The result is very good, it’s four points but it’s as if it’s a full score having drawn in Manchester.”

Cambiasso’s statement couldn’t be more accurate.

To put his words in context, Inter are the only team to have shut out Pep Guardiola’s team this season.
