Inter are continuing talks with Carlos Augusto over a new contract, with discussions progressing steadily but without any rush to reach an immediate agreement.
The update confirms the situation reported earlier this month and was reiterated on Wednesday by journalist Matteo Moretto.
According to Moretto, via FCInterNews, there are still details to be resolved before a full agreement can be finalised.
However, negotiations are moving in a constructive direction.

Indeed, with Inter maintaining a calm and measured approach to the process.
That stance is largely due to the strength of the existing contractual situation.
Carlos Augusto is currently tied to the club until June 30, 2028.
Therefore, there is no immediate pressure on Inter to force an early announcement.
The Nerazzurri are therefore able to work on the renewal with a long-term perspective rather than reacting to short-term deadlines.
From the club’s point of view, the aim is to secure continuity with a player who has grown into a reliable option across the left flank, both defensively and offensively.
Since arriving from Monza, Carlos Augusto has established himself as a valuable part of the squad, offering tactical flexibility.
