Next week, the second international break of the season begins.

For the French international team, there are two Nations League matches to come. Next Thursday, they face Israel, and then a clash with Belgium follows on the 14th of October.

And now, Les Bleus coach Didied Deschamps has made his decisions as far as who will be in the squad for those two matches.

Marcus Thuram Called Up For France In International Break – Benmjamin Pavard Left Out

One player from Inter’s squad will be part of France’s squad during the break.

Nerazzurri striker Thuram will keep his place from the international break last month.

Thuram has become a regular in the national team setup. He is not always in the starting eleven, but Deschamps has always had a place for him in the squad in recent years.

Thuram had started several matches for France at the Euros over the summer. However, he was out of the starting eleven for knockout matches against Portugal and Spain.

Then, in the previous international break, the 27-year-old came off the bench against Italy, before starting against Belgium.

Meanwhile, Inter defender Benjamin Pavard has been a regular for France for several years.

Pavard broke into the Les Bleus setup around the time of the 2018 World Cup. He started throughout that tournament, including in the final against Croatia.

However, in the last couple of years, Pavard has fallen out of favour somewhat.

The emergence of Jules Kounde as a player with a similar profile to the Inter defender has meant that Deschamps has had a decision to make in defense.

And at both the World Cup and the Euros, the Barcelona player has gotten the nod over Pavard.

Pavard was in France’s squad at the Euros this summer. However, he did not play a minute at the tournament.

Meanwhile, during last month’s international break, Pavard was not in the France squad.
