Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has taken to social media to reassure fans that his latest injury woes are not serious and he should be back in action soon.
The club captain was withdrawn from Argentina’s camp whilst on international duty in 2026 World Cup qualifying after suffering the knock, but used Instagram to provide an update on his condition, as reported via FCInterNews.it.
Martinez posted a photo with his partner whilst visiting a vineyard in his hometown of Mendoza and also spent time with his family, ahead of his return to Milan to step up his recovery ahead of a crucial set of fixtures in April.
“Happy to be able to enjoy a few days of rest with my family in Mendoza to recharge my batteries and recover from the injury that left me out of the two qualifiers,” Martinez posted.
“Now I’m recovering to return as soon as possible.”
Inter are due to take on AC Milan across two legs of the Coppa Italia semi-final, as well as a Champions League quarter-final clash against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
The Nerazzurri also have Serie A matches against Parma, Cagliari, Bologna, and Roma in their pursuit of the title and hope to have Martinez available for the majority of the games.
